Andahoodie was invented in 2013 by an off duty firefighter on his way to pick his son up from pre-school on a rainy day. He attempted to keep his head dry by modifying a normal hoodie to fit underneath his jacket, thus mimicking an important piece of safety equipment he used in the fire service called a “Flash Hood”. A flash hood is used to protect your neck and ears from heat and fire and is also worn under your Turnout coat, but Andahoodie turned this concept into fashion by creating different unique patterns and styles to compliment any outfit, lifestyle, or organization with its uniquely patented design.
